LONGER RAY5 mini 5.5W Laser Engraver (RAY5 mini 5.5W)

Longer Ray5 mini laser engraver (5.5 W)

Do you personalize small items, decorations, or DIY prototypes at home? The Longer Ray5 mini engraver with a 5.5 W diode laser allows you to start working without reorganizing your workstation or workshop. The device is factory assembled, so you can start your first project right out of the box instead of spending hours on assembly and calibration. The 130 × 140 mm working area provides space for key chains, plaques, or decorative elements, and the speed of up to 12,000 mm/min means that even larger designs can be created efficiently. The 0.04 mm laser spot and 450 nm wavelength allow you to reproduce details that often disappear or blend together in this class of devices. This allows you to work precisely even in small spaces.

Fine details that really stand out

The 0.04 × 0.04 mm laser spot ensures that even very fine patterns on wood, leather, or metal remain clear and legible. Focusing energy on such a small area allows you to engrave thin lines, small fonts, and subtle ornaments without losing sharpness. If you are preparing personalized gifts, DIY jewelry, or prototypes, you can maintain precision even on a very small scale. Details such as leaf structure, delicate typography, and precise contours remain clear instead of blurring into a blur. This level of accuracy allows you to move from simple inscriptions to more complex, decorative patterns.

Shorter turnaround time – from idea to finished item

With a maximum head speed of 12,000 mm/min, even more complex projects are completed efficiently, and you don't have to spend hours at the machine. In practice, a small motif measuring approximately 30 × 10 mm is created in about 3 minutes, and a larger 100 × 100 mm pattern in about 25 minutes, which clearly demonstrates the actual speed of the device. When you engrave a plate with graphics or a series of identical elements, subsequent copies are ready faster, so you can smoothly move on to the next stage of work. You will appreciate this especially for sales projects or personalized orders. Faster engraving also reduces the risk of excessive heating of the material during long sessions, and the laser module's lifetime of over 10,000 hours allows you to maintain this performance even with regular, intensive use. This keeps the entire process stable and predictable even with more frequent use.

Create on wood, leather, metal, and many other materials

A 130 × 140 mm field and compatibility with over 300 materials allow you to transfer a single idea to different surfaces—from wood, acrylic, and leather to metal, fabric, and ceramics. You can engrave decorations, markings, prototype elements, or personalized accessories without changing the device. The 5.5 W FAC diode laser also allows you to cut thinner materials up to 12 mm thick (depending on their type and density), further expanding the range of DIY applications. The Longer Ray5 mini offers the flexibility to experiment and develop projects instead of limiting yourself to one type of substrate.

Beginner-friendly

The pre-assembled design makes the engraver ready to use almost immediately after plugging it in. The 2 mm focusing block helps you quickly set the correct distance between the laser and the material, so you don't have to guess or measure it by eye. Support for LaserGRBL or LightBurn software allows you to easily load your design and start engraving in a familiar environment, and compatibility with JPG, PNG, BMP, and DXF formats makes it easy to import files from various graphics and CAD programs. If you're just starting out, the transition from your first file to the physical result is short and intuitive. It's a solution that really shortens the path between your idea and the finished object.

Freedom to work from your computer or phone – even offline

USB and Wi-Fi connectivity and the LaserBurn mobile app allow you to control the engraver from your computer or smartphone, depending on where you are preparing your design, and compatibility with Windows, macOS, Linux, Android, and iOS makes it easy to work on different devices. Once the file is uploaded, it is possible to work offline, so the device does not require a constant connection to a computer during engraving. In practice, you can prepare the design at your desk and start the process itself in another location in your workplace or studio. This is particularly convenient when workspace is limited or shared.

Peaceful work thanks to design safeguards

Built-in X/Y axis limit switches control the range of motion of the head, preventing it from exceeding the working area during operation. A physical Emergency Stop button allows you to immediately stop the device in a situation that requires a response – without searching for options in the software. An acrylic protective screen and laser module cover reduce light scattering toward the user. The kit also includes safety glasses for added safety when working with exposed material, and CE, FCC, FDA, and RoHS compliance confirms that it meets international safety standards.

Easy to carry and set up wherever you create

As one of the smallest (286 x 292 x 165 mm) and lightest (1.47 kg) engravers in its class, the Longer Ray5 mini fits on a desk, shelf, or mobile workbench without taking up much space. The desktop design with a rigid aluminum alloy makes it easy to move between rooms, workshops, and design stations, and the 12V power supply from a compact external adapter allows you to easily connect the device in different workplaces. If you create occasionally, you can store the equipment after work and set it up again in a few moments. This keeps engraving accessible even in a small home environment.
