DDPAI Z90 Master Dash Cam (Z90 Master 3-CH)

DDPAI Z90 Master Dash Cam

The DDPAI Z90 Master is a car dash cam with front and rear cameras, Sony STARVIS 2 sensors, and a 3-inch screen with a resolution of 640 × 360. The front camera uses an 8-megapixel Sony STARVIS 2 IMX678 1/1.8" sensor and records at a maximum resolution of 3840 × 2160 at 30 fps, while the rear camera is equipped with a 5-megapixel Sony STARVIS 2 IMX675 1/2.8" sensor. The model also offers a 2880 × 1620 recording mode at 60 fps for the front camera, 5 GHz Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 5.1 connectivity, voice control, app-based operation, and a GNSS module. The design is rounded out by a supercapacitor, a 3-axis G-sensor, a microphone, a speaker, and a USB-C port.

Sony STARVIS 2 Sensor and 4K Recording

The main camera uses an 8-megapixel Sony STARVIS 2 IMX678 sensor, which allows for recording at a native resolution of 3840 × 2160 at 30 or 25 fps. A 2880 × 1620 mode at 60 fps is also available, providing smoother video, which can be useful when recording dynamic events on the road. The rear camera, on the other hand, uses a 5-megapixel Sony STARVIS 2 IMX675 sensor; so the 3840 × 2160 resolution at 25 fps listed in the specifications is not the sensor’s native resolution and requires image upscaling.

Wide Field of View Front and Rear

The front camera offers a 135° field of view, allowing it to capture a wide area in front of the car. The rear camera, on the other hand, provides a 126° viewing angle, making it easier to record situations occurring behind the vehicle. Bright lenses with an F1.75 aperture at the front and an F1.7 aperture at the rear are also used, allowing the sensors to capture more available light—which is particularly important when recording after dark.

App Control, 5 GHz Wi-Fi, and GNSS

The DDPAI Z90 Master is equipped with a 3-inch screen with a resolution of 640 × 360, which makes it easy to operate the device directly from the car. 5 GHz Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 5.1 connectivity allow you to use the mobile app, while voice control provides an additional way to manage the dashcam’s functions. The built-in GNSS module is compatible with GPS, BDS, GLONASS, GALILEO, and QZSS systems, enabling the device to utilize location data while on the road.

Supercapacitor and design optimized for in-vehicle use

The DDPAI Z90 Master uses a supercapacitor instead of a traditional battery, a solution well-suited to the conditions inside a car. The dashcam can operate at temperatures ranging from -20°C to 70°C, while the storage temperature range is from -40°C to 85°C. It also features a 3-axis G-sensor, a microphone, and a speaker, and is powered via a modern USB-C connector.
