Shelly Dimmer Gen4 Zigbee/Matter Smart Dimmer (DimmerGen4)

Shelly Dimmer Gen4 Zigbee/Matter Smart Dimmer

The Shelly Dimmer Gen4 Zigbee/Matter combines precise dimming with broad compatibility, support for multiple communication protocols, and flexible configuration, making it easy to adapt to various usage scenarios. Its compact design makes installation easy even in tight spaces, and the ability to operate without a neutral wire opens the door to modernizing many older installations. Add to that smart schedules, night mode, integration with motion sensors, and convenient control using existing switches or buttons. All of this makes it a solution designed with comfort, automation, and reliable everyday operation in mind.

Multi-protocol connectivity for complete configuration freedom

One of the biggest advantages of the Shelly Dimmer Gen4 is its support for multiple communication standards, which provides great flexibility when building a smart home system. The device works with Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Zigbee, and Matter, allowing you to choose the connection method that best suits your setup and preferred smart home ecosystem. Its compact size allows the module to fit into tight installation spaces, which is particularly important in junction boxes with limited space. Another major advantage is its operation without a neutral wire, allowing the device to be used even where a traditional installation does not provide for such a solution.

Precise dimming tailored to every moment

This model allows you to adjust the minimum and maximum brightness levels, as well as customize the fade-out speed, giving you significantly greater control over the character of the lighting in the room. This lets you create exactly the effect you need—from subtle, mood-setting light in the evening to more intense lighting for work or daily activities. It’s not just a matter of convenience, but also a way to better adapt the space to the time of day, your mood, and the function of a specific interior.

Modes that work in sync with your routine

The Shelly Dimmer Gen4 offers a night mode that allows you to create pleasant ambient lighting and automatically adjust its brightness to a predefined level at specific times. This is a great solution for bedrooms, hallways, children’s rooms, or relaxation areas, where soft, comfortable light is essential after dark. The device also supports smart schedules that you can set according to your own routine or synchronize with sunrise and sunset, so that the lighting naturally adapts to changing conditions throughout the day.

Smart scenes and automations in the Shelly ecosystem

This model’s capabilities go beyond simple dimming. The Shelly Dimmer Gen4 allows you to create smart scenes and connect it with other Shelly devices to trigger specific actions and build custom automations tailored to your household’s lifestyle. Thanks to this, the lighting can respond to specific events, times of day, or conditions in the home, becoming an active element of the entire smart home management system. This solution enhances convenience, helps save time, and transforms lighting from a simple utilitarian function into an integral part of a well-designed, modern home.

Convenient control for everyday use

In everyday situations, the ability to automatically turn on the lights proves particularly useful. When paired with the Shelly BLU Motion sensor, the module can turn on the lights upon detecting motion, which works great in the entryway, stairwell, closet, garage, or bathroom. This feature enhances the comfort of using your home and allows you to respond more quickly to the presence of household members without having to reach for a switch. At the same time, the Shelly Dimmer Gen4 offers flexible input control, allowing you to use existing switches and/or buttons. This is a very practical solution, as it lets you keep the familiar way of controlling lighting while enhancing it with modern automation capabilities.
