Freewell VND Filter with Polarization (FW-SH-3-7STOP)

Freewell VND Filter with Polarization

The Freewell Sherpa VND/CPL 3–7 Stops filter is an accessory designed specifically to work with the Freewell Sherpa iPhone Series case and the Genius Rig Cage. It combines a variable neutral density (VND) filter with a range of 3–7 stops and a CPL polarizing filter in a single unit, allowing you to simultaneously control the amount of light entering the lens and reduce unwanted reflections. The magnetic mounting system allows you to quickly attach or remove the filter without any additional tools, and the high-quality optical glass ensures high image clarity and minimizes the risk of color distortion. This is a practical solution for those who want greater freedom when taking photos and videos with a smartphone in various lighting conditions.

Two filters in one for greater control over your shot

The combination of a VND and CPL filter reduces the number of accessories needed while shooting and streamlines your workflow in the field. The VND filter allows for smooth adjustment of the darkening level within a range of 3–7 stops, making it easier to maintain proper exposure settings even in intense sunlight. The CPL filter reduces reflections from glass, water, or other shiny surfaces while improving contrast and color saturation. The filter’s design allows for independent adjustment of the darkening level (3–7 stops) and allows the base to rotate smoothly through 360° for precise adjustment of the polarization angle and more effective glare reduction, enabling the user to fine-tune the effect to the scene being photographed.

Quick installation and compatibility with the Freewell Sherpa system

The filter is designed for full compatibility with the Freewell Sherpa case and the Genius Rig Cage, ensuring a secure mount and convenient operation. The magnetic mounting system allows for instant attachment and removal of the filter, which is particularly useful during rapidly changing lighting conditions. High-quality optical glass helps maintain sharpness and a natural image appearance, ensuring that photos and videos stand out with high clarity and faithful detail reproduction. This is a practical solution for creators who expect quick operation, a secure mount, and greater control over the final result when taking photos and recording videos with a smartphone.
